From the pre-WWII tobacco card category comes this 1923 Cope Bros. Harry Vardon Golf Strokes Taylor at top of golf swing for a drive card. Vardon won the Open Championship a record six times (1896, 1898, 1899, 1903, 1911, 1914) and was the 1900 U.S. Open champion. He, James Braid, and John Henry Taylor formed the 'Great Triumvirate' of the three renowned British golfers at the turn of the century. The three Englishmen combined to win the Open Championship 16 out of 21 times spanning from 1894-1914. Please inspect the accompanying lot photos for a detailed condition report.
