Walter Hagen’s PGA of America Honorary Vice President Badge
Mint condition. Given by Hagen to the consignor's father, Lewis H. Walter, Detroit golf writer. His Uncle John Walter, also a Detroit golf writer was a close friend as well. Hagen joined Bobby Jones as only the second recipient of this badge of honor from the PGA. The "Haig" was the most dominant player in early PGA Championships winning five of the first ten events ever contested including a record four straight from 1924-27. His 11 Major victories made him an obvious choice for the first Golf Hall of Fame induction class. This cherished badge remains to this day free from any surface damage and with attaching clasp firmly in place. A dignified memento from golf's "Greatest Showman"
