(3) Golf Tournament Money Clips 1995-2001
This lot features three metal money clips from Jim Thorpe, longtime professional tour player who had much success. The first item is a gold-tone money clip for the 2001 Montecristo Cup. The face features a circular black enamel with gold tone accents. The second is a silver-tone money clip from the 1999 Callaway Golf Pebble Beach Invitational. It features a central circular enamel logo with a golfer silhouette against a green ground, encircled by the text Callaway GOLF INVITATIONAL - PEBBLE BEACH. The third item is a vertical rectangular brushed silver-tone money clip from the PGA Tour (his personal credentials) dated 1995 to Jim Thorpe. The reverse is stamped with the maker mark: The Original PROCLIP by (PGA) Jacksonville, FL USA. These were Jim’s personal money clips and his personal material is seldom seen.
