Walter Hagen Signed 1956 'The Walter Hagen Story' First Edition Book
Walter Hagen was the first giant of American golf, who captured 11 Majors and helped raise professional golf to never previously seen levels. Mr. Hagen meticulously penned a beautiful blue ink signature on the flyleaf of this hardcover copy of 'The Walter Hagen Story'. A First Edition published in 1956 by Simon and Shuster of New York City, the 342-page tome was a memoir on his golfing career and an essay on the evolution of the professional golfer. The condition of the cover and book itself is unfortunately not on par with that of the signature, please view photos. James Spence Authentication (JSA) has reviewed this signature and their auction letter of authenticity comes with this lot.
