Three Palmer Peerless Chattanooga P33 Persimmon Wood Golf Clubs
This is a set of three vintage wooden golf clubs, specifically drivers (1-woods), from the Palmer Peerless line manufactured in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Each club features a dark mahogany-finished head constructed from persimmon or laminated wood. The face inserts are multi-layered and secured with a pattern of brass screws. The brass sole plates are clearly marked with the Palmer Peerless brand name and the location Chattanooga, along with a large numeral 1 indicating the club type. The model number P33 is stamped directly into the wood at the rear of each sole. A dark circular insert on the sole plate is embossed with the word densitized. The clubs are fitted with steel shafts. Each club possesses a different grip style: one features a black corded grip with white star motifs near the ferrule; a second has a brown wrap-style leather grip marked GENUINE HUMAN Calf; and the third has a black rubber grip with a green chevron pattern.
