Three Golf Club and Local History Volumes, 1988-2008 (DJ)
A collection of three hardcover volumes relating to golf club histories and local history. The first volume is A Course for Heroes: A History of The Royal St. George's Golf Club, published by The Royal St. George's Golf Club in 1996. This club edition features illustrated map endpapers showing the 1896 and 1914 courses, printed tables, and black-and-white plates throughout. The second volume is Laurel Valley Golf Club 1959-2009: On the Leaderboard for Fifty Years by Robert R. Morris, published in 2008. It is a hardcover edition with a pictorial dust jacket, featuring extensive color landscape photography of the course. The third volume is Lower Merion: A History, published by The Lower Merion Historical Society in 1988. This copy is hand-numbered 96 from a limited edition of 1000 copies. It is bound in red cloth boards with gilt-stamped cover and spine titles, featuring a printed map of Lower Merion Township from 1942 on the endpapers and historical black-and-white photographs throughout.
