Malcolm DeMille 2009 U.S. Open Bethpage Black Golf Money Clip with Presentation Box
A commemorative golf money clip produced for the 2009 U.S. Open championship held at Bethpage Black. The clip features a central oval medallion with a polychrome enamel depiction of the "Walking Golfer" logo in red, white, and blue. This central figure is flanked by the year 2009 and set within a silver-tone frame. The medallion is encircled by a black enamel border with raised silver-tone lettering reading U.S. OPEN and BETHPAGE BLACK. The entire circular assembly is finished with an outer decorative laurel wreath border. The clip is housed in its original black velvet presentation box. The interior silk lid of the box is printed in gold with a triple M logo and reads MALCOLM DEMILLE INC. JEWELERS / SCULPTORS / ARTISANS. The reverse of the money clip is stamped with MALCOLM DE MILLE INC. PAT. PEND. The edge of the medallion border features an impressed mark, with the characters STERLING partially legible.
