MacGregor Accurate Perfection Model B4 Jigger Hickory Shaft Golf Club
This vintage golf club is a MacGregor Accurate Perfection model B4 jigger, manufactured by the MacGregor Golf Company in Dayton, Ohio. The club features a hand-forged steel head with a perforated or holed hosel, a design used for weight distribution and feel. The club face displays a textured pattern consisting of rows of indented dots and short horizontal lines. The reverse of the head is stamped with several marks: GUARANTEED HAND FORGED across the top; a central oval containing MACGREGOR and DAYTON, O. surrounding a cross symbol; JIGGER stamped both on the top edge and below the central oval; ACCURATE underlined by an arrow to the left; and script text reading Perfection followed by REG.U.S.PAT.OFF. and model B4 to the right. An emblem resembling a crest or leaf is located at the top toe-end of the head. The club is equipped with a tapered hickory wood shaft and a dark brown, spiral-wrapped leather grip secured with black whipping at the base.
