Large Full Box Of Twenty-Four (24) Walter Hagen Golf Tees
It is believed that The LA Young Co. of Detroit produced these tees in the early 1930’s as the Hagen on shield logo on the box is consistent with the logo found on LA Young Co. catalogs of the same time period. The box with excellent yellow and black graphics measures 2 /3/4 x 2 3/4 x ¾.
Hagen was at the height of his popularity in the early 1930’s after recent major championship victories and Ryder Cup appearances and the tee box features a depiction of a smiling Hagen to one of its sides.
It is also the belief that this 24 tee box is less common than the smaller box of Walter Hagen tees that contained only 10 tees. These boxes command a premium anytime they hit the auction block. It is in excellent condition with a single cardboard flap detatched while included in this lot.
