Gene Sarazen Signed 1979 Masters Tournament Pairing Sheet
This lot features an original paper spectator guide and course map from the 1979 Masters Tournament held at Augusta National Golf Club. One side of the document displays a detailed green and white illustrated map of the course layout, identifying all 18 holes by name and number, including famous landmarks such as Magnolia Lane, the Clubhouse, and Amen Corner. On the lower left margin of the map side, there is a handwritten cursive signature in lead pencil by 1935 Masters Champion Gene Sarazen. The reverse side is titled 1979 MASTERS and identifies Gary Player as the defending champion. This side provides schedule information for the Par-3 Contest and the CBS telecast times. The lower half of the sheet contains a printed grid with headers for Pairings of Interest, Tee, and Time, designed for spectators to record tournament details. James Spence Authentication has reviewed this signature and a JSA ALOA will accompany this lot..
