This antique brassie golf club features a dark-stained wooden head and a hickory shaft. The crown of the head is incised with the name ANDREWS, though the full inscription is partially obscured. The face of the club includes a light-colored wood insert, and a lead weight is embedded into the rear of the head. The sole is fitted with a brass plate secured by six flat-head screws. The shaft is constructed of hickory wood with black whipping at the hosel. The grip is finished with a tan leather wrap in a spiral-bound pattern.
The club shows age-related wear consistent with use. There are surface scratches and minor chipping to the finish on the wooden head. The brass sole plate and lead weight exhibit natural patination. The leather grip shows some darkening and wear to the surface.
