F & J Golf Golden Gate Tony Lema Signature Persimmon Driver 1-Wood
This vintage right-handed driver features a persimmon wood clubhead with a dark mahogany-toned stain. The clubhead is constructed with a red-toned plastic face insert secured by four brass-toned screws. A gold-colored script signature reading Tony Lema is present on the top of the crown. The sole of the club is fitted with a metal plate secured by five screws. Engraved into the sole plate is a circular logo containing the words GOLDEN GATE around the characters f j, with the text F & J GOLF in stylized block letters below it. To the right of the logo is a large engraved numeral 1, designating the club as a driver or 1-wood. The club is built with a stepped chrome steel shaft. A partial foil label is present on the shaft with the readable characters PRO and R. The hosel is finished with black thread whipping. The club has been refitted with a modern black and blue synthetic rubber grip featuring a textured hexagonal pattern and the manufacturer name CHAMPKEY printed in blue at the base..
