Beckley-Ralston Shotmaker Chipper Series 29 Hickory Shaft Golf Club
This vintage golf club is a Beckley-Ralston Shotmaker Chipper, part of the manufacturer's Series 29 line. Produced by the Beckley-Ralston Company of Chicago, this club dates from approximately the late 1920s to early 1930s. The club features a heavy steel head with a dark-finished patina and a mallet-style back. The striking face is detailed with horizontal grooves enclosed within a rectangular border. The head is mounted to an original hickory wood shaft, which is finished with a black leather wrap grip.
The back of the club head contains several stamped marks. The toe is stamped NO. 378. Centered on the back is the Beckley-Ralston name in cursive script, positioned above the block letters SHOTMAKER, CHIPPER, and SERIES 29. To the right of the text is a hexagonal logo containing the letters B, a forward slash, and R.
