1977 USGA U.S. Open Championship Local Qualifying Low Scorer Sterling Silver Medal by The Robbins Company
This sterling silver and enameled medal was manufactured by The Robbins Company for the United States Golf Association (USGA). It was awarded for the 1977 U.S. Open Championship local qualifying rounds held in Washington. The obverse features a scalloped edge and the USGA seal, which includes central shield features vertical stripes and a blue enameled header. The perimeter is embossed with the text UNITED STATES GOLF ASSOCIATION and ORGANIZED 1894. The award designation LOW SCORER is positioned above a blank rectangular nameplate. The bottom is stamped with the marks STERLING and THE ROBBINS CO.
