The PGA World Golf Hall of Fame Inv Pro-Am at Pinehurst Putter Boy Trophy - Impressive Display!
The Putter Boy Trophy is perhaps the most visually impressive of all individual golf awards. The trademarked logo boy known as "The Golf Lad” or "The Golf Boy", this historic symbol of Pinehurst was sculpted as a sundial by Lucy Richards in 1912. Because of its significance, nearly all the previously issued Putter Boy championship trophies from various events contested at Pinehurst remain in the possession of the respective player and/or his family. Therefore, few examples can be found in private collections today. This is an extremely high quality work of art that could be displayed proudly in many settings and different type of collections. Orginating from the collection of The PGA of America this permanent trophy offers a larger scale trophy then previously seen on Pinehurst awards. Attached plate reads as follows: The PGA/World Golf Hall of Fame Invitational Pro-Am - Established in 1984 by Senior Tour Great, Bob Goalby, as a means for generating funding for the Hall of Fame and to serve as a prelude to the Annual Induction Ceremonies, the event has become one of the most popular in the country. "Celebrating the Great Game of Golf". Base measures 11" x 11" and trophy stands 14 1/2" tall.

All items that have received multiple bids in the auction will remain open until no items have received a bid within a 15 minute time period (at 10pm EST, the countdown clock will be adjusted to a 5 minute interval). 1. You must place your initial bids BEFORE extended bidding begins in order to bid on the item in extended bidding
2. During extended bidding, you are allowed to bid only on items you PREVIOUSLY placed a bid on.
3. All lots that are active in extended bidding will close at the same time, and those with only ONE or NO BIDS will close at 9pm EST
