Rory McIlroy Signed 2012 PGA Championship at Kiawah Island Golf Resort Used Pin Flag #14
The historical 14th hole marker from Rory McIlroy's second of four major triumphs measures "14 by "20 is made out of nylon fabric which shows moderate use over it's entire body. This use would appear consistent with what affects the outdoor elements would have over a short period of time. The two-tone flag( yellow/black with 4 color logo)has on it's left hand side at lower portion the emblem of the Professional Golfers Association of America, positioned above that is the logo for the 2012 Championship contested at The Ocean Course on Kiawah while the #14 appears boldly on the right hand side ("5 1/8 high numerals). Along the left side of the flag is the plastic cylinder which would have attached flag to pin. Rory McIlroy scored a tournament record 8 shot victory, claiming the 2012 PGA Championship. He has boldly signed a full signature black sharpie autograph in the center of this course flown flag. Rory's legacy grows with each spectacular performance, and he has been labeled one the most exciting players in golf over the last 50 years with three of the four majors all ready under his belt. With this on course success his memorabilia has also become one of the most collectible in sport. Combine this with the difficulty of obtaining actual course flags from major championships, and you have a collectible that can be cherished for generations to come. With the auction photos we include a couple photo matches of this style flag in use on different holes. Directly sourced from the PGA of America with authenticity paperwork from that organization, and from James Spence Authentication (JSA) attesting to the validity of the Rory McIlroy autograph.A signed letter of from PGA Historian Bob Denney will accompany this lot.

AUCTION CLOSING RULES:
This auction will end at 9:00pm EST Sunday, May 19th, with EXTENDED BIDDING to follow. All items that have received multiple bids in the auction will remain open until no items have received a bid within a 15 minute time period (at 10pm EST, the countdown clock will be adjusted to a 5 minute interval)
1. You must place your initial bids BEFORE extended bidding begins in order to bid on the item in extended bidding
2. During extended bidding, you are allowed to bid only on items you PREVIOUSLY placed a bid on.
3. All lots that are active in extended bidding will close at the same time, and those with only ONE or NO BIDS will close at 9pm EST
