Rick Fowler is an American professional golfer. He was the number one ranked amateur golfer in the world for 36 weeks in 2007 and 2008.In December 2009, Fowler successfully gained a 2010 PGA Tour card through qualifying school, finishing T15. In September 2010 he was chosen as a captain's pick for the U.S. Ryder Cup team. Fowler won the Rookie of the Year award, controversially claiming the award over Northern Ireland's Rory McIlroy.
