Cary Middlecoff Signed 8x10 Black and White Ryder Cup Photo

Cary Middlecoff blitzed the field to win the 1955 Masters by seven strokes over Ben Hogan. This was no surprise victory for Cary Middlecoff remains one of the most underrated golfers in the history of the game, despite his World Golf Hall of Fame status. A reason for this oversite may be the short window he was at the top of his game, and also that he was overshadowed by flashier stories in the 1950's mainly Ben Hogan and Sam Snead. In this time period, along with his Masters title Middlecoff also captured the 1949 and 1956 U.S. Open Championships. His 28 PGA Tour titles set the standard for for most victories by any player in the 1950's. Your chance is here in this auction lot to own an outstanding autographed piece on this great player who ranks 9th on the all-time Tour win list. This lot comes with an 8X10 image of Middlecoff from the Ryder Cup, in which Cary participated in three (1953,55,59). James Spence Authentication (JSA) has reviewed this autograph, and their paperwork of authenticity will come with this lot.

Please note: This auction will end at 7:00pm EST on Sunday, March 6th with EXTENDED BIDDING to follow. All items in the auction will remain open until no items have received a bid within a 15 minute time period. All lots are free to be bid on until extended bidding has ended
