1955 Masters Saturday Ticket
This marks the first 1955 Masters ticket The Golf Auction has offered. It's far and away one of the best examples for condition of any Masters paper ticket badges (pre 1961) we have ever offered with string attached, what you look for, free from creasing (maybe a slight hairline but I sure cannot find it)with sharp round corners as originally printed. Let's get out of the way the extreme minor flaw this blazer of a ticket exhibits-small discolored area on left side of front (at first glance one would not be recognized). Also the verso has some slight chip marked areas along edges. These items are mentioned only to nitpick the piece for accuracy, as the high grade Masters ticket collector, who wins this stunning example, will do. Now for the historical side of the evaluation for the tournament represented by this offered 1955 Saturday Masters Ticket #3189. History shows that Cary Middlecoff won the '55 Masters by a then-record seven shots over Ben Hogan closing the deal with one final birdie on the 18th hole Sunday. Course worn, this admission voucher was there to witness one of Middlecoff's crowning achievements in his Hall of Fame career. This ticket is a condition upgrade to any you currently have in your collection.
Please note: This auction will end at 7:00pm EST on June 21st with extended bidding to follow. All items in the auction will remain open until no items have received a bid within a 15 minute time period. All lots are free to be bid on until extended bidding has ended
