In commemoration of Gene Sarazen becoming the first modern-day Grand Slam champion at The Open Championship in 1932, this 'Golf Illustrated' cover depicting The Squire with his claret jug is limited to 500 signed copies and professionally matted and framed. The certificate for this, numbered copy 201, explaining the acid free paper museum grade copy that was produced from the June 17, 1932 English magazine. Please note there is a small amount of adhesive on the glass that should be able to be removed. 18 x 15." James Spence Authentication (JSA) has reviewed this signature and their auction letter of authenticity comes with this lot.
