Circa 1970's Masters Tournament 'Extra Day' Square Ticket #2946

Unlike US Open tickets, Masters Tournament 'Extra Day' or playoff day tickets are far from a common ducat. This square paper ticket circa 1970's was produced for the possible playoff round scenario if it should come in to play with two or more leading golfers with an equal amount of strokes taken after 72 holes. The Masters Tournament had seen this come to fruition seven times from its inaugural playing in 1934 until the end of the 1970's in which Indiana native Fuzzy Zoeller was crowned champion in 1979. This rose #2946 ticket is in good to very good condition with its original string intact, please examine accompanying photos for additional reassurance in this report. "Extra Day" is printed across the middle of the front below the Masters Tournament logo and backside in bold jet black lettering. This lot allows the acquisition of this rarity for your Masters Tournament ticket/badge collection. James Spence Authentication (JSA) has reviewed this signature and their auction letter of authenticity will come with this lot.
