Photographer Stephen Elias signed and hand notated the verso of this Type I photo of Tiger Woods 'Stephen Elias - National Golfer - 94-ASU-Kasten' on the verso of the Kodak Olympic Rings Royal photo paper. Each of these elements is a value driver and factors when even the most discerning Tiger collectors are considering the run at a lot acquisition. Mid-stride was Woods in this candid 8" x 10" with details that simply don't get much better. While some think it was after he turned pro that 'Frank' Woods' tiger head cover was added (on) to the bag, here is evidence from at least a year prior of its inclusion. Banana in the left hand and bag over shoulder in right, the collegiate superstar sports Stanford's logo on his PING shirt (ASU and Karsten Solheim connection) and the red 'S' on the folded bag towel. PSA Type I photos are often the single best visual, this pre-rookie Tiger Woods banana-Frank-Stanford signed shot by the photographer Stephen Alias who was just feet away taking the NCAA tournament in checking all the boxes. Both collectors and investors have latched onto this category over the last few years and this is an example of why.
