This crystal clear type I photo sourced initially from the Augusta National Chief Engineer Wendell P. Miller Family Collection features a landscape shot of an early clubhouse in the background of the "18th hole" from just prior to first hosting of the Masters, or then titled 'Augusta National Invitation Tournament.' Hole numbers were of course changed following the inaugural Masters Tournament of 1934, with the front nine becoming the back nine and vice versa. The historical landmark clubhouse and present day 9th: Carolina Cherry are seen in stunning great antiquity in this original picture. This image was stored in the files of the original Augusta National Golf Club's engineer Wendell P. Miller's family for over 85 years, until its initial presentation in 2019. It cries out for ownership by the finest photo libraries known with a dedication to Bobby Jones, Augusta National Golf Club or golf history as an emphasis. #18 is written in pencil on reverse.
