c.1920's Golf-O-Graph Mechanical Golf Ball Marking Machine Serial No. 1353 - Very Good Condition
From the roaring (19)20's comes this Golf-O-Graph mechanical golf ball marking machine was designed for personalizing golf balls with names or initials. The device is constructed of black-enameled cast metal with steel mechanical components. It features a top-mounted handwheel that operates a sliding metal carriage used to hold metal type. Two concave metal rollers are positioned in the central cavity to support a golf ball during operation. A wooden storage block slides out from the left side of the base and contains an assortment of metal alphanumeric stamps. A metal nameplate is riveted to the front of the unit and is inscribed with the following text: GOLF - O - GRAPH, GOLF BALL MARKER, SERIAL No. 1353, and PAT. PENDING. The side of the wooden storage drawer is printed with the instructions: USE SANFORDS BLACK NUMBERING MACHINE INK. The base of the unit is lined with green felt.
