c1940's National Golf Links of America Tiffany Sterling Easter Cup Trophy
From the highly private and exclusive National Golf Links of America we have an uncommon and scarce Easter Cup Trophy. The trophy is adorned with an Easter lily seal
and below the lily the trophy is engraved “ Easter Cup, National Golf Links of America, Southhampton, Long island, presented by Wayne Johnson” The base of the trophy says “won by” with no name inscribed. Although the trophy is not dated the Tiffany mark on the bottom is noted to have been used from 1907 to 1947. Charles Blair Macdonald’s National golf Links opened in 1911.
The trophy measures 4 7/8 x 4 “ and weighs 8.9 oz. Because it is designed and crafted by Tiffany & Co for the National Golf Links of America approximately 80 years ago, this trophy is very unique and thus highly collectible.
