Arnold Palmer Signed Callaway Ltd Ed 'The Original Putter' with Palmer Hologram/Cert - Framed
"I was glad to learn that you have received one of my autographed Callaway putters. It is a replica of the putter I designed shortly after I started playing professional golf and signed my first contract with Wilson Sporting Goods in the late 1950's. Because of the success and confidence I enjoyed while using the putter, it quickly became one of my favorites. In an eight-year span, I won over 40 tournaments including seven major championships. I continued to use this Putter and slight variations of it for many years thereafter. I hope this new addition to your collection brings you as much enjoyment as it brought me throughout my career. Arnold then signs off with his printed signature. " This letter from Arnie to a member of his army sheds light on the importance of 'The Original' putter that can be found nicely exhibited in a shadowbox with the letter and a photograph of Arnold Palmer at the 2004 Masters. Arnold has always been the type to tinker with all of the clubs in his bag. Arnold tinkered until he got the perfect feel for his putter, when he did he had the Original. Containing a flawless silver sharpie signature of The King on the tan grip, here is an Arnold Palmer Signed 'The Original' Arnold Palmer Putter by Callaway. James Spence Authentication (JSA) has reviewed this signature and their auction letter of authenticity comes with this lot. The shadowbox verso contains an Arnold Palmer International stamped certificate of authenticity with hologram, stating the shadowbox display is a limited edition of 500.
