William Gibson Kinghorn Hickory Shafted Golf Putter
This golf putter was manufactured by William Gibson of Kinghorn, Fife, Scotland, a prominent club maker active in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The club features a narrow iron blade head, characteristic of the early cleek style of putters. The back of the club head bears several stamped markings: curved text reading GIBSON above KINGHORN at the top, the initials J.A.L.R. in the center, and the word LOW stamped near the heel. The club is fitted with a dark-finished hickory wood shaft showing visible grain. The grip is a brown, textured suede-style leather wrap secured at the top and bottom with black tape, likely a contemporary replacement. 36 1/4"
