Willie Park Jr. LTD ED 146/350 1989 Print Signed by Artist Arthur Weaver - Framed


Willie Park Jr was born in Musselburgh in 1864, son of the famous William Park who was the first ever Open Champion in 1860. Having served time as a professional at Ryton Golf Club in Northumberland, he returned to Musselburgh in 1884 when he took over the running of his father’s club making business and soon started to become known for his new club designs. In 1885, he invented the Bulger Driver and used this club during the Open Championship that year. He won the Open in 1887 and 1889. He became known as the best clubmaker during the period 1885 to 1895. This lot offers a limited edition 146/350 print of Willie Park Jr. signed by artist Arthur Weaver. This lot will come with a signed letter from Historian Emeritus Bob Denney of the PGA, proclaiming that this item comes from their collection. 26" x 31"
