Here we have a spoon made by Butchart Nichols Co that is collectible from several standpoints. It has an unusual 7 piece shaft that is made with a combination of a core of hickory with green heart and bamboo stripes. You can see how it is made by looking at the butt end of the shaft. Wilie Kidd’s name graces the top of the club head in gold lettering. Willie was from Monifieth Scotland and became the head pro at Interlachen in 1920. He was the pro at Interlachen when Bobby Jones won the US Open as part of his 1930 grand slam. Kidd was also a mentor to famed Champion Patty Berg. This is a patent club (stamped on top of head) with both us And British patents issued to Cuthbert Butchart in 1926. Displays beautifully. 42"
