Walter Hagen Twice Signed 1929 Pasadena Municipal GC Scorecard with Permit & Pairing Card
The Pasadena Open was a golf tournament from 1929 to 1938 at Pasadena Municipal Golf Course (Brookside Park),
the oldest course in Los Angeles, and neighbor to the world famous Rose Bowl. Bob Armstrong, a journeyman pro, teed off first in the field of 69 golfers, record his scores, and then circled back to watch Walter Hagen play his round. Afterwards, Hagen signed the card twice, once on the front, and again on the inside, with Bob recording the event on the back of the card, Jan. 16th, 1929. Also included is the official Pairings card, showing many other well known competitors, including the eventual champion Craig Wood. Finally there is a Monthly Permit for the same course dated April 5, 1929. Finding an official tournament score card signed not just once, but twice, by the great Walter Hagen, is extremely rare. Add to that the Pairings card and the successful bidder will surely own a significant piece of golf history. The late, great Walter Hagen (1892-1969) was the first giant of American golf, capturing a then record 11 Majors and helped raise professional golf to never previously seen levels. In addition to this comes a Permit & Pairing Card from Pasadena. James Spence Authentication (JSA) has reviewed these signatures and their auction letter of authenticity comes with this lot.

AUCTION CLOSING RULES:
Place your bids now as this auction will end at 9:00pm ET Sunday, November 15th with EXTENDED BIDDING to follow. When placing INITIAL bid, you must agree to the terms BEFORE confirming your bid. All items that have received multiple bids in the auction will remain open until no items have received a bid within a 15 minute time period (at 10pm EST, the countdown clock will be adjusted to a 5 minute interval). Place your bids now!
1. You must place your initial bids BEFORE extended bidding begins to bid on the item in extended bidding
2. During extended bidding, you are allowed to bid only on items you PREVIOUSLY placed a bid on.
3. All lots that are active in extended bidding will close at the same time, and those with only ONE or NO BIDS will close at 9pm EST
**If extended bidding goes pass midnight ET, The Golf Auction reserves the right to close the auction at any time. We recommend bidders place their maximum bids prior to that time. Thank you**
