Walter Hagen Signed 'The Walter Hagen Story' 1st Ed Book


Walter Hagen was the first giant of American golf, who captured 11 Majors and helped raise professional golf to never previously seen levels. Mr. Hagen meticulously penned a flowing blue ink signature on the white flyleaf of this hardcover copy of 'The Walter Hagen Story' along with an extensive inscription and 1956 dating. A First Edition published in 1956 by Simon and Shuster of New York City, the 342-page tome was a memoir on his golfing career and an essay on the evolution of the professional golfer. Please inspect the accompanying lot photos for a detailed condition report. James Spence Authentication (JSA) has reviewed this signature and their auction letter of authenticity comes with this lot.
