W.G. Oke Fullwell GC Special Stay Norus Rustless Oak Brand Warranted Hand Forged Putter
WG Oke was a club professional at Fullwell GC from 1921 until 1937, his fourth club proceeding Bramshot and a pair of London clubs Honor Oak and Forest Hill. While At Fulwell a fire tragically destroyed his workshop in 1926 and 'many thousands of golf clubs' according to the Antigue Golf Scotland website. Oke was an Open contestant a dozen times between 1914 and 1937. Here is a club that likely preceded that event, a survivor from the Fullwell GC with excellent clear stamping on the head of the hand forged putter that remains in very good overall condition.
