Vtg Holbrook Wood & Leather Reg. Patent Caddie Golf Club Carrier Stand "Bag"
Composed of primarily beech wood, the Holbrook Wood and Leather caddy golf club standup carrier was by many accounts a design by Harry Holbrook of the 'Apple Tree Gang' in St Andrews to carry a few clubs for either an abbreviated round or practice session. The legs fold back on the light weight device that carried about six to eight clubs in the leather cup. Hence why "Bag" is in quotation marks, as this was not produced to carry the entire club selection that that was. There is a partial Decal label showing the 'Novel-T-' name that was original below the Holbrook. c.1930 based off of known dated advertising for it. The original leather straps remain, however they are not complete. Please inspect the accompanying lot photos for this highly collectible (now) vintage club display.
