Vintage Yale Mixture 'A Gentleman's Smoke' Golfer Smoking Ad Calendar - Framed
Few turn-of-the-century tobacco companies positioned their products to cater to golfers as well as Yale Mixture advertising efforts did, as it was self-appointed "A Gentleman's Smoke." This large promotional poster boasts vibrant red, blue and brown color along with intricate detailing in this artist's time-period golfer depiction donning a "Y" blue sweater. "We could not improve the quality if paid double the price" boastful text is written to the right of the red coat clad golfer. The Yale Mixture green box is positioned in the bottom right corner finishing off the promotional effort's illustration starring the suave pipe smoking stovepipe bag carrying golfer. It is displayed to maximize presentation value, unrolled and encompassed in a white background with light outer wood to not take away from the piece itself. In good condition it remains, with very slight oxidation on the top and bottom metal edging and very light surface wear only mentioned for accuracy purposed present.
