Vintage Thos. E. Wilson and Co. Sharpshooter Hickory Shaft Brassie Golf Club
This vintage golf club is a Sharpshooter model Brassie produced by the Thos. E. Wilson and Co. firm. The clubhead is constructed of dark-finished wood and features a distinctive brown decorative face insert containing seven circular, horizontally-grooved dots arranged in a circular pattern. It is fitted with a traditional hickory wood shaft and a wrapped black leather grip. The crown of the clubhead is inscribed in cursive script with the maker name Thos. E. Wilson and Co. The metal sole plate is secured by multiple screws and features several stamped marks including PATENT 1585224 5-18-1926, the model name SHARP SHOOTER with a stylized G inside a circle, and the club type BRASSIE. A long metal hosel transitions from the clubhead to the wooden shaft.
