Vintage E-Zee-On Spin-Golf Tabletop Board Game Made in England
This is a vintage Spin-Golf tabletop board game produced by E-Zee-On in England, dating to the early 20th century. The game is housed in its original cardboard box with a lithographed lid featuring an illustration of a golfer in period attire, including a flat cap and knickerbockers. The interior of the lid contains a pasted-in sheet titled Rules for Spin-Golf which outlines Match Play and Medal Round options. The set features a folding, lithographed green game board depicting a 9-hole golf course with illustrated fairways, bunkers, water hazards, and a clubhouse, including printed yardage markers. A group of cast metal spinning tops, or teetotums, is included, with each top representing a specific golf club: Driver-Brassie, Mid-Iron, Mashie, Niblick, and Putter. The tops are stamped with their respective names and various game outcomes such as yardages, On the Green, or number of Putts. The set also includes a collection of small, numbered cast metal markers used as player pieces and one reusable scorecard titled Spin-Golf Card with columns for two players. The box lid bears the trade mark logo for E-Zee-On and the registration number 449728.
