Vintage Augusta National Course Map Mounted on Wood

In this lot lies a tastefully mounted vintage map of the course on the hallowed grounds of the Augusta National Golf Club. Using the time-period soft hues of green with some blue and red interspersed, this detailed map shows each hole beginning to end with a scale for distance on the lower left side. The clubhouse is in red, towering over the land. This piece was prepared by George W. Cobb, a golf course architect in Greenville, South Carolina. Notice artistic liberty was taken on the Augusta National golf Club logo in the top right changing National Golf Club to Georgia. As the modern day map of the course continues to change, the more interesting it becomes to compare to its course set ups of the past (6980 yards). p15 1/2" x 11 1/2". Wood mount measures 19" x 15"
