Vintage 1800's Hickory Belgian Chole Club
This circa 1800's Chole club is certainly a unique club. The elongated face would be for driving while the other curved/hooked end is for shots that need some loft. Golf is believed to have been derived from a game called “chole”, a form of hockey that started gaining popularity in Belgium in the middle of the 14th century. An extraordinary club with it's own very unique history, a sure conversation starter as part of any collection. Many claimed ages of Chole clubs are more recent than what is claimed, this resembles the older known examples.
