Vijay Singh Signed 2002 The Tour Championship Used Hole #5 Flag w/COA & JSA ALOA
"It was a was big, it was a Tour Championship," Vijay Singh reflected on his 2002 win at East Lake Golf Club on the World Golf Hall of Fame's media account in 2024. Why? Not only was he competing against the best in the world that year, but his 11th PGA Tour win avenged a loss just four years earlier in a Playoff with Hal Sutton - also at East Lake. The 2002 season wrap up would be the final without a million dollar prize, Singh's winner's share of $900k rewarding his 12-under 268 2-strokes clear of runner-up Charles Howell. Used during the tournament on 442-yard par 4 Hole #5 in which Vijay Singh parred final round Sunday, this flag was signed by the champion in black sharpie just to the right of the center logo. Sponsor Coca Cola, the year used and the PGA Tour logo join the 'Tour Championship' and (hole) 5. The plastic tube once mounted on the flag pole remains in this flag. Fanatics certificate of authenticity states that this flag with a unique serial number was used during tournament play at the 2002 Tour Championship, complete with matching hologram sticker on bottom right corner of the flag.
