Uncommon Petite Size Doulton Lambeth Milk Pitcher
Here we have a late 19th century Doulton Lambeth
Ceramic Milk pitcher, C. 1890-1910, featuring golfers
around it in shallow relief, offset by the brown
background, and intricate leaflike designs serpentine
from around the top of the handle to the top of this
slightly flared rim. It is accented by a dark brown ring
around the bottom.
The brown toning in the golfing scenes is very common in
Lambeth pieces. No chips, cracks, or repairs.
We have previously had at auction a similar pitcher in
the more common large ( 9 ½ “ ) size. Here we are
offering the uncommon petite 6” size. It would make
an excellent companion piece to the larger pitcher.
