Now celebrating the 20th anniversary of the St Andrews Open Championship, these robust jet black signatures look like they do when the pair of luminaries Tiger Woods and Jack Nicklaus sat-down to sign this flag carefully in black marker with proper positioning Tiger just above Jack on to the left of the red '18' and careful formation.
The passing of the torch happened in each of the four majors, including the eldest. Nicklaus would announce his final round of competition and Tiger Woods would win the tournament. This took place at the 2000 PGA Championship (they actually played together), 2000 US Open, 2005 Masters Tournament and then finally the 2005 Open Championship at St Andrews. It would also mark Jack Nicklaus' final round of major championship golf as he waved to the crowd in the memorable shot atop Swilken Bridge. To commemorate Tiger Woods' victory at the same time as Nicklaus' final Open they had each legend, likely the two greatest to ever play the game, sign this 2005 Open Championship flag.
