Tiger Woods Signed c.1996 Rawlings Official American League Baseball
Ardent and casual collectors alike know Tiger Woods does not sign golf balls. Woods also does not sign balls in general, aside from the occasional request for a basketball, hockey puck (yes we offered one last year) or baseball. The latter and most universally collected is presented here, that signature obtained by our consignor all the way back in 1996. On the official Rawlings red seam Gene Budig baseball, the American League president from 1994 to 1999, Tiger Woods' black sharpie signature is showcased across the preferred sweetspot for a striking time-period exemplar from the then 20-year-old big cat. While the hardest of living golfer signatures remains nearly as strong as when it was performed by Woods nearly 30 years ago, there is some expected aging on the Official MLB Rawlings baseball as depicted in the accompanying lot photos. James Spence Authentication (JSA) has reviewed this signature and their FULL letter of authenticity comes with this lot.
