Tiger Woods Signed & Inscribed 1997 American Express Photo
'Card member since 1997' American Express advertising effort states with their then newest spokesman, the charismatic winner Tiger Woods. The recognition and celebrity status transcended the game of golf, into the world of sport and pop culture. Endorsement deals were plentiful, with Woods and his agents having to say 'no' more than 'yes.' Exhibiting his youthful smile is this ad with a close shot of Tiger in his black Nike hat looking at the camera. He is crouching down, as if to read a putt. Tiger woods signed this example of the advertisement with a flawless, time-period black sharpie signature below an inscription to one of his many fans. While his 1997 Masters win was a highlight, many more would come for the young superstar. It is in good condition, with small creases on the corner and bottom.
