Tiger Woods Signed Original 1995 Stanford Putting Type I Photo JSA Full Letter
Incredibly, this original 'Kodak Royal' photo was taken by a nearby patron capturing 19-year-old Tiger Woods on the green, developed by the amateur lensman and then carefully signed by Woods in time-period black sharpie marker just to the left - that same individual tracking him down for a second time. Woods' signature formation transitioned year to year, with this the c.1995 shortened version penned prior to elongating it. 'Playing days' signatures are one of the fastest growing hobby nuances, with 'rookie' or 'pre-rookie' signatures heavily preferred when available. Checking numerous boxes including original Royal Kodak photo paper (with a closeup photo included in the listing) and amateur Tiger Woods' time-period signature. 'Stonestown' is stamped on the verso of this photo, a neighborhood in Woods' home state in which he played for Stanford in, likely near the (San Francisco region) location of this photo.
Wearing his Stanford golf team uniform, amateur phenom Tiger Woods was captured during a collegiate tournament testing his putter stroke with a ball just in front. A limited media presence was on hand for NCAA golf tournaments, as opposed to Woods' Amateur victories, yielding far less original photos such as this 'Kodak' paper example (not a single individual in the background, just a lone time-period automobile) . White shirt and black pants, matching his team that included the likes of Notah Begay and Casey Martin, Tiger Woods would win the individual NCAA Championship title to go along with the already decorated golfer's 1991-1993 US Junior Amateur and 1994 & 1995 US Amateur titles (two months removed from his third consecutive US Amateur title.
