Tiger Woods Signed 2006 Open Championship at Royal Liverpool Tournament Flown Used Hole 1 Flag
Flown on the first hole #1 "Royal" of Royal Liverpool for the successful Champion Golfer of the Year defense and first major since his 'Pops' passing, is this actual tournament-used flag taken off the stick at the historic 2006 Open Championship. This yellow screen-printed flag with the red, centered '1' along with 'The Open Championship' underlined by 'Royal Liverpool 2006' carries a flawless Woods signature perfectly positioned. This two-sided Tiger-winning major championship game used flag carries welcomed signs of usage including light blemishing, spots, wear and some discoloration from endless hands being applied to it during major tournament play. Wear is also evident along the fabric covering the previously mounted plastic tube insert.
An emotional Tiger Woods lifted the Claret Jug in 2006 in what was his first win following the passing of his father. The (-18) 270 winning score marked Woods' second consecutive Open Championship title and third overall.
This is one of only six Tiger Woods signed, tournament-used flag from his major wins that we have offered, the scarcest of Tiger Woods pin flags. Our most recent being from the 2000 PGA Championship 10th hole which reached $15,371.
