Tiger Woods Signed 1999 Pebble Beach Pro-Am at Spyglass Hill Tournament Used Scorecard
"Cameras clicked, crowds cheered and fans begged for autographs. It was more like a movie premiere than a round of golf," The Associated Press reported on the 1999 AT&T foursome that included Tiger Woods, 'Tin Cup' star Kevin Costner, Mark O' Meara and Ken Griffey Jr. Woods' official signed scorecard in this lot is from his first round of the tournament shortened to 54 holes due to inclement weather. Group 5 was the talk of the tournament, with a 14 handicap taking on Spyglass HIll.
Tiger Woods would champion both the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am and his famous 2000 US Open clinic the following year at the course. The top left includes the printed 'PRO: Mark O' Meara AM: Ken Griffey Jr. and pro pairing and great friend Mark O' Meara's signature on the Professional's line next to Tiger Woods' time-period pencil autograph. It was a rare instance in which the pro-am continued through tournament play, a tradition that continues to this day.
