Tiger Woods Signed 1997 Masters Tournament Series Badge #A03423
Tremendously collectible, and equally as challenging, is this champion Tiger Woods signed 1997 Masters Series badge #A03423 carrying the familiar penmanship on the front of the badge in jet black sharpie. Phenom Tiger Woods won his first of 15 Majors at the 1997 Masters Tournament, beating Tom Kite by 12 strokes! Tiger mania was in full effect and collectors have not let up with 1997 Masters related items, with this signed badge only one of three that we have offered over 15 years of auctions. A new generation of viewers were able to witness and contribute to many of those roars during the special weekend in April 2019. While this victory was new territory for some, many reminisced of the Tiger Woods that transcended the sport of golf and captured the Masters wins in 1997, 2001, 2002 and 2005.
In the skyrocketing signed ticket category, a mint signature from the nearly impossible to access Tiger Woods on the highly coveted green 1997 series badge deserves heightened attention. James Spence Authentication (JSA) has reviewed this signature and their auction letter of authenticity comes with this lot.
