Tiger Woods Signed 1997-2002 Open Championship Red Caddie Bib on 'WOODS' Nameplate
Instantly recognizeable is that of this red mesh Open Championship screen printed bib style used from 1997 until 2002, not disimilar to the Sunday attire of the man who raised the Claret Jug in 2000 (Tiger Slam & career grand slam) and then back to back in 2005 and 2006. Bearing Tiger Woods' early 2000's black sharpie signature on the blue 'WOODS' nameplate, also seen in the pictures when looking back at Woods' time at The Open, is this prized Open bib. Open Championship bibs were worn in the colors red, white, blue and yellow, identifying their specific player. This specific bib was sold at auction for the Royal Belfast Hospital for Sick Children in 'lot 21' titling it 'Caddie Tabard From The British Open Signed by Tiger Woods' and made a point of noting that 'This Tabard is From A Known Source.' The signature has been preserved excellently and was added by would with precision. Four reference photos from between 1997 and 2002 with both Mike Fluff Cowen and Steve Williams, matching this style of bib, finish off this lot. James Spence Authentication (JSA) has reviewed this signature and their auction letter of authenticity (ALOA) comes with this lot.
