Tiger Woods Signed 1996 Western Amateur Series Ticket PSA 6 AUTO 9
The best amateur the sport had seen since certainly Jack Nicklaus and likely Bobby Jones, decorated 20-year-old Tiger Woods signed this 1996 Western Amateur ticket on the clean verso with blue ballpoint time-period scribe. It was one of his final stops before he started collecting checks. This prized ticket graded by PSA as a strong 6 with an even stronger 9 signature was initially just $5 and gained admittance at Point O' Woods Golf & Country Club in Berrien County, Michigan any one day between July 31 and August 4 to see Tiger. Bowing out in the round of 16 after winning this tournament just two years prior, Stanford's Woods was in the middle of a campaign that included his record third straight US Amateur win and a 1996 NCAA Individual title. Just later that month on August 29, Tiger Woods would turn professional with his "Hello World", hole-in-one, $60M in endorsement deals Greater Milwaukee Open splash.
