A gold-tone plaque mounted inside the box is inscribed with P7TW 15TH MAJOR COMMEMORATIVE EDITION, DESIGNED AND CRAFTED BY TAYLORMADE & TIGER WOODS, and the specific set number 16/81. Accompanying the set is a color photograph of Tiger Woods in his Sunday red shirt, bearing a flawless signature in silver-tone ink. These are often separated from each other, but not in this lot!
Before you is a limited edition TaylorMade P7TW iron set, released to commemorate Tiger Woods victory at the 2019 Masters, his 15th major championship. The set consists of eight irons including a 3-iron, 4-iron, 5-iron, 6-iron, 7-iron, 8-iron, 9-iron, and Pitching Wedge. Each club head is constructed with forged steel and features Milled Grind technology. The hosel of each club is stamped with TaylorMade, FORGED, and the limited edition number 16/81. The back of the club heads are marked P7TW and MILLED GRIND. The clubs are equipped with True Temper Dynamic Gold Tour Issue X100 shafts and Golf Pride grips. The set is presented in its original green commemorative display box, which features a floral-patterned interior lining.
With a triumphant raise of the putter millions were having flashbacks of 25 years ago, when a the 21-year-old Tiger Woods won his first Masters Tournament in just his third try. He was greeted by his son Charlie off of the 18th green in 2019, reminiscent of the memorable scene with 'Pops' in 1997.
